GRID aspires to be a net zero innovation district that brings together public, private and social enterprise and investment to deliver transformational change, locally and globally.

Using our test-bed status – the first granted to an innovation zone in Scotland – we will strive to push the boundaries on testing new innovative ideas and creating a pipeline of high-impact innovation that can be dovetailed into regional test beds.

Consulting with local communities and working with governments and investors, we will work to transform areas of vacant and derelict land through the development of brownfield sites to deliver mixed-use developments.

GRID is also committed to delivering opportunities to support access to education within the area, developing opportunities for upskilling and re-skilling, and understanding what more the partners can do to address socioeconomic inequalities within Govan and the wider city.
